Breaking Fast at Esplanade
Yesterday had dinner with my wife's group former work colleagues. We ate at Alhot cafe at the Esplanade. The food was ok, but the ambience was quite nice. The sambal belacan was power, and the cheesecake was glorious. The view was quite nice too. Managed to catch up with some, talked for a while. However he was not able to follow us to Geylang after that though.
After that, went to Geylang Serai to walk around. Bought a TV console tablemat for sixty bucks. My wife and I are hopeless at bargaining. While bargaining, we thought of several people who would have been able to help up, cos they are quite good (exceptionally good) at bargaining. Anyway, felt that the price was quite reasonable.
I dunno, it just seems to me that the bazaar at Geylang is not what is used to be. It lacked a bit of ooommpph. The stalls offerings have been pretty similar for the past few years. The weirdest thing is why do they have to sell cars at a bazaar? Is it really necessary to do so? Anyway, do people really buy cars at a bazaar? How do they take out the car for a test drive? It seems pretty packed around the Geylang bazaar, how will they ever manage to ask the potential buyer to drive out the car from the bazaar? It's BIZARRE!
Well, today after sending my wife to work, came home and managed to fix up the remaining speakers for the surround system and VOILA, managed to make it work. Now I can listen to surround sound even whilst watching cable. Woohoo, it ROCKS!!! I feel like buying a CD or DVD just to immerse myself in it. Read my email and the DVD for Batman begins is ready for rental. Maybe will pop by Tampines Mall later to rent it.
