What a Klutz I am
Yesterday, after the morning shift, I went back home. I bathed, changed and made plans to catch a movie with my wife. On the way to fetch her from her workplace, decided to top up some petrol at the nearby Shell kiosk. At the kiosk, I then proceeded to take the nozzle out. Well, that's when it all began......
When I pulled out the nozzle, the residue petrol from the previous fillup was still there and when I lowered the nozzle, the balance petrol hit my left hand. So the Shell card which I was holding in my left hand also got some petrol on it. So after putting the nozzle at my car, I opened the boot and took some plain water to wash off the excess oil from my hands. After filling up, I decided to go and pay. To my SHOCK and HORROR, I discovered that my keys were not with me! I then remembered that I may have locked the keys in the boot of the car. So, I told the pump attendant nearby that I was going to leave the car there and go back home to get the spare keys. I then paid for my petrol and it then dawned on me...... my house keys were also inside the car! Hahahahaha, I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. I then called my wife and she agreed to come back home taking a cab. I then took a bus to my mum's house to borrow their car. While waiting for my wife, she then called and informed that she had been waiting for quite some time and was unable to get a cab. I then drove to fetch her as she was the only one with the house keys. Even my parents and in-laws doesn't have the keys to my house (Note: Need to make a set for each of them).
Well, to cut a long story short, we managed to get the spare car key from our house and went back to Shell. We got the car, scrapped the idea of catching a show and went out for dinner instead, at Changi Village. The incident happened at about 9 and by the time we got back, it was already 12 plus. Hahahaha.
